A Letter with My Sword, Word by Word, Spring 2022

Serving as my MICA Senior Thesis, A Letter with My Sword, Word by Word, is an experimental short. Focusing on rotoscoped elements, the film explores past and present personal relationships. The texture-rich figures and backgrounds are comprised of letters sent from family and friends over four years. Featured here are elements from my Thesis Exhibition, shown during MICA’s 2022 summer Artwalk Festival. Screencaps, the process book, and exhibition mockups are included while the film is being considered for various festivals. Recent winner of “Best Student Film” at the 2022 Sweaty Eyeballs Animation Festival.
